A French traveling bard of the 12th century, Frederic was said to have eyes green as the channel betwixt England and France. Clever and charming, he was a cherished presence in Eleanor of Aquitane's courts of love, and lived long and well on the fat of Lords and Ladies. Women swooned to his dulcet tones, and their men ever wary of his effects, unsuccessfully kept their eyes on him.
